Black Ice Women's Rugby Club is Denver's premier team. We get our name from the infamous "black ice" on roads that lulls drivers into over-confidence. Our team was founded in the summer of 1991.

Directions from Denver:
- I-25 South
- Exit at the North Academy Gate (Exit 156), going west
- Go through the guard station (if it is manned, they will require a driver's license and may inspect your vehicle)
- Continue up the hill and follow the road as it curves left
- Just after the curve, there will be a road on your left (DON'T TAKE THIS ROAD)
- Just past the road you're not supposed to take, you will see the pitch ahead on the left
- There is a guard rail made of wooden posts with chain between them. At one place, there is a gap in the chain, drive in there and park along the road inside the posts.
