Wow! What a weekend!

First, let me say THANK YOU to the DC Furies for putting on this tournament! So much fun!

And THANK YOU to all the other teams in our bracket for getting out there and bringing the fight.

Now, let’s get to it. This weekend had us seeing a bit more loss than we would like. We won 1 of 4 matches over the course of the weekend. That’s the same W-L record as the Furies and Beantown, so that’s not too bad.

But I’m not gonna focus on the record, cuz it doesn’t matter anywhere near as much as what we get to learn from this tournament. We got to put into action and refine some new game plans, see how they compare and contrast with similar approaches in rapid fire action, and go out and do it again an hour later. That was invaluable!

We learned how strong we really are. How adaptable we are in the clutch. And where we can improve. We went in strong, but in-the-end, I think we came out stronger. That’s the funny thing about a challenge like this. It’s a forge, and if you don’t crack under the relentless hammer blows, the heat of victory and the chill of defeat, you come out the other side better than when you went in. Stronger, tougher, and ready to work.
